ស៊ីម៉ង់កាវ Strong tile Adhesive (Joybond IIB II)
Surface preparation:
·
All surfaces must be
structurally sound, dry, clean and free from movement, oil, grease, wax, curing
compounds and other loose contaminating materials, painted surfaces must be
scabbled to expose at least 80% of the original substrate.

Very porous surfaces
should be primed with Davco 4 in 1 primerflex/additive. New concrete must be
allowed to cure for 28days. Newly rendered surfaces must be allowed to cure for
least 7days.
·
Steel trowel finished
surfaces must be acid etched or wire brushed prior to tiling, for old concrete
and rendered surfaces, a strong commercial grade detergent or degreaser must be
used to clean.
·
Then thoroughly
remove detergent/degreaser with fresh water using a high-pressure hose. All
surface to be dry ffor at least 24hours prior to tiling.
·
Ensure all release
agents are removed from concrete surfaces, especially tilt-up slab.
Application:
- Always add IIB power to liquid component, mixing continuously until a thick creamy consistency is an achieved.
- The mixing ratio is 20kg of IIB Powder to approximately 4-4.8 lite of liquid.
- Allow the mix to stand for 10 minutes, remix then use the adhesive.
- Spread the adhesive onto the substrate using a 6mmx6mm notched trowel for walls, a 10mmx10mm-12mmx12mm norched trowel for floor tiles.
- Ensure that there are no voids under the tiles. For tiles with deep grooves or didges, the adhesive should be buttered onto the back of the tiles in the addition to being troweled onto the substrate.
Note:
the adhesive coverage must be uniform and cover the entire tile thoroughly. The
bed thickness must be approximately half the height of the square notched
trowel used.
Coverage:
Coverage varies according to the site conditions and build up required.
Shelf life:
Store in unopened bags in and elevated cool dry place. The shelf life is one
year under normal storage and transportation condition.
